Toronto Danmei Con is organized by Danmei Toronto, a not-for-profit organization with the aim of celebrating danmei works and bringing together fans of Chinese novels, manhua, donghua, dramas and other forms of Chinese media and culture.Â
We hosted our first community event in 2022, a cup sleeve event at a cafe celebrating the birthdays of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng from Heaven Official's Blessing, and have hosted several cafe events every year since then. The growing number of attendees at these cafe events and the passion of the Toronto danmei community inspired us to host an even bigger event, which is how the idea for this convention came into place!
